Cancellations & refunds

This policy covers orders placed with S and G Salgo Furniture Factory on this site. Every Salgo sofa is built to the configuration you chose, after you order it. That is why the window below is what it is — once the workshop cuts timber to your measurements, the piece cannot go back on a shelf.
You have 3 days to change your mind
You can cancel your order yourself for 3 days from the moment you place it, provided we have not started building it. The exact deadline is shown on your order — we do not ask you to work it out.
If your order moves into production inside that window — which can happen if we approve it quickly — the button is replaced by a note asking you to contact us. We will still help; it just stops being something the website can do on its own.
How to cancel
- Go to My orders and open the order.
- Press Cancel order.
- Check the fee and refund figures shown, then confirm. You will get an email straight away.

The cancellation fee
There is currently no cancellation fee. If that changes, the fee in force when you placed your order is the one that applies to it — never a later one.
The fee only ever comes out of money you have already paid. We never invoice you for it. If nothing has been charged for your order yet, cancelling costs you nothing at all.
When your refund arrives
Refunds are issued within 30 days of your cancellation, to the method you paid with. The exact date is shown on your order the moment you cancel, and in your cancellation email. Once we have sent it, your bank or card provider may take a few more working days to show it on your statement.
Paying for an order
We do not take payment online yet. We confirm your build first, then arrange the 50% advance that starts it, with the balance due before dispatch. When online payment is switched on, the advance will be taken at checkout — and this page will say so.
Returns after delivery
Because every piece is built to your order, we cannot take it back for a change of mind once it has been delivered. That does not affect your rights if it arrives damaged or is not what you ordered — see checking your order on arrival — or if it develops a fault covered by our warranty.
If we cancel your order
If we cannot go ahead with an order — for example, because we cannot deliver to the address given — we will contact you to explain, cancel it and refund everything you have paid for it, within the same 30 days.
The terms that apply to an order are the ones in force when you placed it. Changing them here never changes an order you have already made. See also delivery & shipping.
